Actor Madhavan has been in news for all the wrong reasons. The reason behind it is something no one has expected from a non-controversial individual like him. A group of farmers filed a complaint against Madhavan with the Collector of Dindigul in Tamil Nadu.

Reportedly, Madhavan purchased a 7 acre land in Kodaikanal recently and installed an electric fence around the canal which is the source of drinking and irrigation water for the locals. Farmers of Teak Plantation covering around 50 acres is dependent on the canal through which the water from Kodaikanal waterfalls flow.

Irked by the electric fence, Farmers have given a representation to the District Collector accusing the local officials of granting undue favours to Madhavam. There were even allegations of compelling the farmers to sell off their lands to the Pan-India Actor assuring more than the market value. The Collector immediately sought a report on the issue from Revenue and Irrigation Officials.
