First COVID-19 Patient In India Hopes To Visit Wuhan Soon

Many people might not know who is the first patient in India to get infected with the COVID-19 virus. Her name is Usha Ram Manohar who is persuing her medicine in the Wuhan Province of China from where the fatal virus is originated.

Usha Ram Manohar came to her home on the 27th of January and developed symptoms like throat sore and cough which are the initial symptoms of the virus. Following this, she was shifted to the hospital and medical examinations were conducted for her.

The medical tests turned positive making her the first-ever poistive case of COVID-19 in the country. She was discharged from the hospital on the 20th of February who recovered from the virus.

She recently gave an interview in which she said that she didn't get frightened when she was infected and added that she was confident enough to recover from the virus as many patients have recovered fro the virus.

While her friend and senior were the second and third poistive cases of the novel coronavirus in India respectively. What's even shocking is that she is hoping to go back to Wuhan soon to continue her studies.

"I am attending online classes of our university since February. The classes are held everyday depending on the subjects. We were told the portions now being taken would be taken once again after the regular classes start as practicals have to be held", Usha said in an interview.
