First Indian to score 7 Consecutive Fifties

Indian opener KL Rahul added a feather to his cap. He is the first Indian cricketer to have scored seven consecutive Test Fifties ever.

On Day 1 of the 3rd & final Test against Sri Lanka, Skipper Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat first. KL Rahul got out after scoring 85 runs but set a new record.

So far, Only Six Cricketers in the World have been able to achieve this feat. Other five cricketers are Andy Flower, Kumar Sangakkara, Chris Rogers, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Sir Everton Weekes.

India ended Day 1 with a score of 329 for the loss of 6 Wickets. Dhawan scored a blistering century. Saha and Hardik Pandya are at the crease.
