No more Khakhi-clad cops will appear Telangana. The government has decided to introduce a new dress code for the police, and also to thoroughly modernise the force. From August 15, the cops will be donning a dark blue uniform. They will also be patrolling in brand new Toyota Innovas with GPS and 4G Internet services, instead of the age-old Rakshak vehicles.
KCR government has decided to replace all Rakshak vehicles and motorbikes and to purchase 1,650 Toyota Innovas and 1,500 high-end motorbikes to ensure that police can reach a crime spot within 10 minutes from anywhere in the city.
As part of this Telangana Police department ordered 1600 Innovas, 1600 2 Wheelers (Hero Extremes). Few vehicles with sample designs already reached Hyderabad for further approval. A siren and blue color bulb would be fitted on the Innova vehicles.
KCR main aim is to see his Police system to be modernized to the level of New York police standards. All the changes will come into existence from August 15th this year and below is the video that shows first look Telangana police vehicles.
