India's Tour Of Australia: Five Indian Players Goes Into Isolation!

Update: 2021-01-02 14:29 GMT
Ahead of the third Test match against the Aussies team in the ongoing Border-Gavaskar trophy, five Indian players went into isolation, for allegedly breaching the Covid-19 protocols.

On the eve of the New Year, Rohit Sharma, Rishab Pant, Shubman Gill, Prithvi Shaw, and Navdeep Saini reportedly went outdoors to grab some food. The video of them enjoying their food surfaced on social media.

It is said that the isolated players can train for the upcoming Test match without joining the remaining Indian quads, however, they have to follow the strict Covid-19 protocols.

According to the media reports, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Australian Cricket Board are investigating the matter separately on the ground of the alleged Covid-19 protocol breach.

The Cricket boards took the decision after an Indian fan took to social media to share the video of Indian players having meals and claimed that he had paid for their food.

The investigation is said to be carried out to check whether the Indian players eating outdoors come under potential breach of the Covid-19 protocols or not.
