Five-year-old Indian boy reaches Everest Base Camp

Harshit Saumitra, a Class 1 student of GD Goenka School in New Delhi created an all time record.The small kid reached the Everest Base Camp (5364 m) and became the youngest person to complete the difficult trek.
 
The parents of five-year-old Harshit Saumitra are trying to register their son's name in thed Guinness World Records and Limca Book of Records. The family of the kid belongs to a village named   Jogiyara Pator in Bihar's Darbhanga district.
 
Harshit Saumitra father Rajeev Saumitra who elated with the feet of his kid and he said that  pictures of reaching the base camp, video clippings and his birth certificate would be sent to the Guinness World Records
 
Prior to harshit climb,  seven-year-old Aaryan Balaji  claimed to be the youngest to reach the base of  the mountain at the age of 7in 2012.His feat provoked criticism from the mountaineering community, who questioned whether he was mature enough to make the decision to climb.
Rajeev Saumitra announced he would set up a Harshit Foundation to lend a helping hand to the less privileged and children from weaker sections of society.
