Australia's former skipper Michael Clarke under whom the Kangaroo team has won the World Cup has announced the news of his divorce with his wife Kyly, after seven years of marriage. They both got married in May 2012 and they have a four-year-old daughter Kelsey Lee.
To confirm the news of separation the duo has released an official statement.
After living apart for some time, we have made the difficult decision to Âseparate as a couple, amicably," the statement read.
"With the greatest of respect for each other, weâve come to the Âmutual conclusion that this is the best course for us to take while committed to the co-parenting of our daughter," it added.
"We'd like to acknowledge the wonderful support weâve had from family and friends, and at this time request privacy so that we can manage this next stage of our lives," the couple said.
It has been widely reported that the couple has opted to not move the court rather settle the issue outside the court.
