Former CM Ashok Chavan Takes Oath As Maharashtra MLA

The Maharashtra council of ministers led by Uddhav Thackeray will have ten MLAs from the Congress party with cabinet expansion. Out of the 10 MLAs, former CM Ashok Chavan will also be joining the cabinet.

The swearing-in ceremony will take place on the premises of Vidhan Bhavan. At the ceremony, 36 ministers will also take oath reportedly.

Looking at the MLAs from the Congress leaders like Ashok Chavan, Vijay Wadettiwar, Amit Deshmukh, Sunil Kadar, Yashomati Thakur, Varsha Gaikwad, and Aslam Sheikh will be swearing in as Cabinet Ministers, reportedly.

On the other hand, Satej Patil and Vishwajit Kadam are likely to take the oath as state ministers.

Other than CM Uddhav Thackeray, the state cabinet has 6 ministers at present. On November 28, Balasaheb Thorat and Nitin Raut from Congress, Eknath Shinde and Subhash Desai of Shiv Sena and Jayant Patil and Chhagan Bhujbal of NCP has sworn in with Uddhav Thackeray.

According to the power-sharing ratio between the alliance trio Congress-Shiv Sena-NCP, Shiv Sena, NCP, and Congress parties will get 15, 15 and 12 minister seats reportedly.
