Controversial IPS Officer RS Praveen Kumar who took voluntary retirement to foray into active politics had tested positive for the Covid virus.
Media reports claim that Praveen Kumar visited Gandhi Hospital earlier today to take the Covid test and the test reports came back positive.
Doctors at the State-run Gandhi Hospital who examined Praveen Kumar's health reportedly said that he developed mild symptoms of Covid and hence there is no need of hospitalisation.
However, the doctors advised Praveen Kumar to observe home isolation as per the prevailing Covid protocols.
He has tested positive for Covid two days after he held a massive political meeting in Telangana and joined the BSP party.
Praveen Kumar was made the state coordinator of Bahujan Samaj Party. Addressing the meeting, he made some hard hitting lines.
Asking the crowd if they want to be slaves or rulers, Praveen Kumar said no force can stop the BSP in Telangana and said they will reach the Pragathi Bhavan on the elephant. Elephant is the party symbol of BSP.
