He was removed from the TDP party. Motkupalli even made sensational comments on Chandrababu Naidu and even termed him as "TDP Traitor". Reportedly, Central Minister Kishan Reddy and Telangana BJP State Chief Lakshman met Motkupalli and invited him to join the BJP party. To this, he responded positively.

Motkupalli joined the BJP party in the presence of Amit Shah. Along with him, Telangana State President Lakshman, Vivek Venkat Swami, MP Garikapati Mohan Rao, Verendar Goud were also present during the meeting.

Before the elections, news of Motkupalli joining the TRS party surfaced. After that, there was no further information on this.

The BJP party which is trying to expand its reach in Telangana State is inviting the leaders who can help the party in fulfilling its dream. With this move, BJP will be a step ahead in targeting CM KCR.

KCR is head over heels in problems with the Telangana RTC workers strike. Motkupalli is often referred to as Fire Brand in Telangana. Reportedly, the BJP party is trying to aim KCR with Motkupalli.
