Senior TDP leader and former minister Garapati Sambasiva Rao passed away due to age-related ailments. He was 80. The end came at his residence in Naidugudem village in Pedapadu mandal of Denduluru assembly constituency.
Garapati Sambasiva Rao was MLA for four times and represented Denduluru. He was MLA in 1989, 1995, 1999 and 2004. He was a minister during 1999-2004. A diehard TDP leader, he was known to be a steadfast activist of the party and a follower of NTR and Chandrababu Naidu.
Several TDP leaders expressed shock at the sudden demise of Garapati. Party chief Chandrababu Naidu said that Garapati was a sincere servant of the people and that he had worked for the development of the constituency. He said his death was a great loss to the Telugu Desam Party. He offered his condolences to the family members of Garapati.
