A road mishap which took place near Vijayawada on Monday night resulted in the death of four Students of Osmania Medical College and 17 Others.
The ill-fated bus was coming from Amalapuram in East Godavari to Hyderabad. At Gollapudi near Vijayawada, The bus hit a road divider and then crashed into a tree. The driver of the vehicle died on spot. All the injured were rushed to a hospital in Golapudi. Telangana CM KCR directed Health Minister and Home Minister to take care of the injured and shift them to Hyderabad if necessary.
About 40 students of Osmania Medical College came to Amalapuram few days ago for taking part in a Sports Meet.
Injured Students complained to the Police that the bus driver was drunk and drove the vehicle in a reckless manner. The private bus belonged to Dhanunjay Travels of Amalapuram.
