Fresh 70,589 Cases Push India's Caseload To 61,45,291.

In a piece of good news, India witnessed a dip on fresh Coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours. With 70,589 fresh infected detected in a single day, India’s caseload pass surged 61 lakh-mark and reached 61,45,291.

Despite being the second worst-affected nation globally, India managed to bring down the average of daily infections. India has been reporting over 80,000 for the past few days.

On a brighter note, total recoveries in India rose to 51,01,398, including as many as 84,877 patients beating the novel Coronavirus in the last 24 hours. India’s recovery rate increased to over 82 percent. There are 9,47,576 active cases in India.

India witnessed fewer COVID-19 casualties over the last 27 days with 776 fatalities in the last 24 hours and the death toll rose to 96,318. For the past 27 days, India has been reporting over 1,000 fatalities.

Telangana reported as many as 2072 fresh Corona infections in the past 24 hours, which pushed the caseload to 1,89,283. So far, 1116 patients have succumbed to the dreaded virus.

On the other hand, fellow Telugu state Andhra Pradesh witnessed 5487 fresh infections taking the toll of total infections in the state to 6,81,161. The virus has claimed 5745 lives so far.

Looking at the global scenario, so far a total of 33,542,558 patients were diagnosed with the novel Coronavirus. So far, 24,868,764 patients have been recovered from the virus, while 1,006,090 patients succumbed to the virus globally.
