Starting from May 1st this year, Petrol and Diesel prices are going to change every day in India.
Indian Oil Corp (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corp Ltd (HPCL) which have 58,000 petrol pumps (95 percent) under their control will be launching this pilot operation in 5-select Cities. In the later stage, This rule will be implemented all over the country if it's successful.
Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh, Udaipur in Rajasthan, Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Puducherry have been chosen for the pilot operation.
Currently, Fuel Retailers revise fuel prices on 1st and 16th of every month depending on the average of Fuel Prices in International Markets. In advanced markets, Fuel Prices change on daily basis. The same rule is likely to be implemented in India very soon.
