Gadkari announces 41K cr for Telangana roads

Finally, the NDA government has come out with major projects for the newly formed Telangana state. The Centre has allotted Rs 41000 cr for Telangana to develop national highways.
 
Union Surface Transport Minister Nithin Gadkari has participated in several programs in telangana along with chief minister KCR and other union ministers. Gadkari on announced Rs 41,000 crore worth road projects, including two expressways worth Rs 16,000 crore for Telangana
 
Gadkari laid foundation stone for expansion of 163rd national highway at Madikonda in Warnagal district. The union minister has  dedicated the Eturunagaram bridge across the river Godavari to the nation.
 
Addressing media, Gadkari said that about 2,500 km of road network would be created with Rs 40,800 crore. Gadkari added that  a total of 1670-km new national highways would be built in Telangana at a cost of Rs 16,500 crore. Gadkari laid the foundation stone of 4-lane of Yadgirigutta and Warangal section of NH-202 (new NH-163) of length 99 km costing Rs 1,424 crs.
 
Gadkari announced  two Express Highways from the state capital Hyderabad to Bengaluru and Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh during his meet.Gadkari opined that national development was possible only through better road connectivity and infrastructure facilities.
