The story of the recent Bollywood blockbuster 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' might be a fictional one but it happened for real in Karachi and the victim is an Indian girl.
A deaf and mute Indian girl mistakenly crossed into the Pakistan territory when she was a kid. She has been waiting to meet parents and return home since the past 14 years. All she could do is identifying the Indian map when asked about her home in India. While trying to convey something about her past, She points her fingers first at Jharkhand and then Telangana. In all her writings, She mentions the number '193' which is believed to be her house number.
Bilquis Edhi who is known as 'The Mother of Pakistan' named the girl as 'Geeta' as she is Hindu. She currently ages 23 and wishes to marry only after finding her parents in India.
The success of 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' has helped the story of Geeta reach a large section of people. Frequent attempts were made by Edhi Foundation to unite Geeta with her Parents and even a campaign is being run. Hopefully, Her dream will be fulfilled one day.
