After receiving requests from the family members & scores of admirers, AP Government decided to establish Ghantasala Museum by December next year. The decision was taken marking the 93rd Birth Anniversary of Ghantasala Venkateswara Rao.
Director of AP Cultural Department D Vijay Bhaskar said Ghantasala Museum will be open for public viewing by the singer's 93rd Birth Anniversary. He informs, 'Ghantasala's Compositions, Musical Instruments and Pictures which portray his life will be put on display in the museum. The museum will be established in the premises of Government Music College which was named after him'.
Family of Ghantasala assured to AP Government that some of the articles used by the Maestro will be handed over to them.
A book 'Ghantasala Swarayugam' penned by Challa Subbarayudu was launched at 94 centers across the state Yesterday.
