Ghatkesar Kidnap Case: CP Mahesh Bhagwat says, the girl cooked up the story
The abduction and molestation case of a BPharm student reported at the Ghatkesar area has sent shocking waves across Telangana. The much-talked-about kidnapping case was reported earlier this week.
Rachakonda commissioner of police Mahesh Bhagwat, who addressed the media today on the kidnap case has said that the girl was not sexually assaulted and she cooked up the story.
Based on the details revealed by the BPharm student, the cops arrested auto drivers. Now the CP has apologized to the auto drivers knowing that they don't have any role in the issue.
According to the Rachakonda Police Commissioner, the BPharm student who projected herself as the victim has been making plans to move out of her home for the past six months. She enacted the drama when her parents called her mobile continuously.
Revisiting the incident, the BPharm student, a resident of Rampally has called her mother and told her that an auto driver has kidnapped her, on her way back home from the college.
The girl's mother immediately dialed emergency number 100 and informed the police helpline about her daughter and registered a complaint.
Going by the location details of the BPharm student shared by her mother, the cops traced her near the Nehru Outer Ring Road service road at Annojiguda. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
After reaching the hospital, the cops have recorded her statement, in which she said that she was sexually assaulted by four auto-drivers. The auto-drivers were taken into police custody subsequently. However, they said, they were in different locations when the incident took place.
When the cops have reconstructed the crime scene, they got a contrasting outcome to that of the girl's statements. The CCTV cameras set up in the areas have captured the visuals of the girl roaming on the roads when the incident took place.
When the cops questioned the BPharm student, she has admitted that she had enacted the kidnap drama. She did this to escape from her mother who is asking her for being late.
