GHMC slaps a fine of Rs 4.35 lakh for Hyderabad man for instilling unauthorized hoardings for Mayor
TRS Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao's daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi was elected as the GHMC mayor. To congratulate the newly elected mayor, flexis were installed in the Banjara Hills and Jubilee Hills areas of Hyderabad.
A TRS leader Atish Agarwal has erected these hoarding in Hyderabad to congratulate Gadwal Vijayalakshmi. These hoardings were set up above 15 feet in height from ground level.
The issue reached the Enforcement, Vigilance, and Disaster Management (EVDM) wing of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) after the netizens have tagged the officials on the unathorised hoardings.
The EV&DM took serious note of the rules violation and slapped a fine of Rs 4.35 lakh to Atish Agarwal. The authorities have slapped multiple challans to the TRS leader for violating the rules.
GHMC's Enforcement, Vigilance, and Disaster Management (EVDM) wing in the challans said that these challans were issued under sections 420, 421 of the GHMC Act for instilling unathorised hoardings.
