Govt Panel To Meet Representatives Of Leading Pharma Companies

The Indian government has taken the first step to make the coronavirus vaccine available across the country. The government has invited five Indian pharma companies to submit a roadmap on the vaccine within three days. An expert meeting will be held on Monday to discuss the Covid-19 vaccine policy.

The Central govt asked the five pharma companies to provide details on the minimum time and price required to manufacture the vaccine on a large scale. Serum Institute, Bharat Biotech, Zydus Cadila, Biological E, Genovo which is currently conducting clinical trials for the vaccine will be attending the meeting on Monday.

The government has instructed representatives of the respective organizations to submit a comprehensive report on the COVID-19 vaccine by Thursday.

On the other hand, countries like the United States, Britain and other countries are making the pre-agreements with the pharma companies to make the vaccine available as soon as the clinical trials are successful.
