It is now becoming increasingly clear that both Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan and Chief Minister KCR are trying to avoid one another. Though it has been announced on Sunday that KCR would go to New Delhi on a five-day tour, his programme was put off at the last minute Meanwhile, Governor Tamilisai is currently in New Delhi on a two day tour.
Sources say that there were rumours that KCR would go to Delhi. However, he reached Pragathi Bhavan from his farmhouse in Erravelli. This set at rest rumours that he was in Delhi. There is no information from the protocol department about KCR's visit to Delhi on Monday. Sources say he is likely to go to Delhi on Wednesday (April 20).
KCR is likely to be in Delhi for five days to discuss various aspects of national politics. He is also likely to interact with several national level leaders of various regional parties. He would discuss the issue of forming a non-Congress, non-BjP front to take on the BJP in the 2024 elections. He is likely to meet the representatives of several parties during his stay.
However, it is not known whether both the visits are in any way linked. But, KCR clearly did not like to be in Delhi at a time when the Governor too is in the same city. Of late, the relations between both KCR and the Governor have soured of late. KCR feels that the Governor's political interference has gone up in Telangana. He is also miffed at the Governor keeping in abeyance Padi Kaushik Reddy's nomination as an MLC in governor's quota.
