The Movie tickets issue in Andhra Pradesh is taking a new twist with each passing day. After going through several twists, the serious issue has now made maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma lock horns with Andhra Pradesh Cinematography Minister Perni Nani.

Since yesterday, RGV has been targeting Perni Nani and trying his level best to make the Minister understand the basic dynamics that go into the business in the industry. Having targeted the Minister in an interview the other day, RGV launched a social media war on Perni Nani.

RGV had started the Twitter thread tagging Perni Nani by giving his opinion that he wants Perni Nani to understand the fact that the government was handed over power to expect support from the government and that doesn't mean the government sits on their heads.

Not showing any sign of leaving Cinematography Minister Perni Nani, RGV gave insight into the dynamics and economics of the film business. The director said how reducing the food grain prices in a forced manner results in the farmers losing their motivation, and the industry faces the same issues with the ticket issue.

Countering the government's arguments that the ticket rates are reduced to benefit the poor people. RGV asked, why can't the government subsidize the ticket rates like the medical and educational services are done. If the government sees this as an essential commodity, why don't the government go for subsidizing the prices, RGV asked.

RGV also asked Perni Nani if the Minister is considering having ration shops where the movie tickets can be handed over to people like rice and sugar were given to the beneficiaries.

The director proposed a new system called a dual price system where the industry can sell the tickets going by their price and the state government can sell the tickets to the poor for less prices by buying them from the producers.

"Dear honourable minister of cinematography @perni_nani Sir, I would like your honourable team to understand that pricing of heroes like @alluarjun @pawankalyan @urstrulymahesh etc is nothing but a subtract between production cost and the expected recovery based on track record," RGV's tweet reads.
