Govt will provide job opportunities to 3 lakh people in Electronic Sector: KTR

The politics in Telangana are revolving around employment creation. The ruling TRS and BJP have targeted each other over the same during the campaign for the recently concluded elections for the two graduate constituencies.

Amid this, TRS Working President, IT Minister KTR said, in the coming four years, their government will provide job facilities for three lakh people in the electronic sector.

The IT Minister made this announcement addressing the Telangana Legislative Assembly during the fifth day of the ongoing Assembly sessions.

KTR went on to say that, 60,000 people are being employed by more than 250 electronic companies. The government is focusing especially on electronics manufacturing and research and development sectors. To address the special needs of the industry, the government came up with a special electronic policy, he said.

40 new industries came to the state. These industries will be given investment exemption raining from Rs 2-30 crore. Two electronic clusters manufacturing unit has been set up in 912 acres near the Outer Ring Road (ORR), KTR added.

The Telangana government has launched the Telangana electric vehicle and energy storage policy 2020-2030, intending to transform Telangana as a hub for electric vehicles and energy storage systems, KTR told the house.
