Telangana: Graduate MLC Polls: Double Blow for BJP

Update: 2021-03-20 14:04 GMT
The saffron party BJP, which is not leaving any stone unturned to spread its wings in Telangana has taken the Graduate MLC elections seriously and went for the polls with remarkable performance in back-to-back polls.

However, the BJP faced a double blow in MLC elections by losing the two constituencies. The Nalgonda, Khammam, and Warangal constituency loss is a major worry for the BJP party.

BJP lost the Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, and Mahabubnagar graduates constituency, its sitting position to the ruling party with a margin of over 11,000. BJP candidate Ramachandra Rao has managed to get 1,37,566 votes.

The Nalgonda, Khammam, and Warangal constituency loss is more humiliating to the BJP as the party was restricted to fourth place.

The Graduate MLC elections result is an eye-opener for the saffron party which has been projecting itself as the alternative to the TRS. The party is also confident of winning the 2024 general elections too.

Well, the BJP has to be more careful about the upcoming Nagarjunasagar by-poll. If the party is not careful, it will lose momentum, which in turn results in losing its grip on the state.
