In his recent press briefing, Telangana Chief Minister KCR said that the public should wear a safety mask as a measure to combat the dreaded disease and those who fail to do so will be slapped with a fine of Rs 1,000.
The rule will be entering the villages in the state too as the gram panchayats were given the power to impose a fine of Rs 1,000 who don't wear safety masks at the public places.
The new development came after Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Secretary, Panchayat Raj, and Rural Development issued orders in this regard.apart from this power the Gram Panchayats were also directed to be careful with the contagious diseases as the rainy season will start soon.
