A Group of 50 alumni from Delhi and Kharagpur IIT are planning to float a political party soon. Bahujan Azad Party (BAP) is the party name preferred by these highly skilled people.
Naveen Kumar who is a graduate in Textile Technology from IIT Delhi in 2015 is likely to be the president of BAP. Most of the members of the new party belong to SC, ST and OBC Communities. They pledge to fight for the upliftment of SCs, STs, Backward Classes and Women. Focus would be majorly on the Education and Employment.
Mr.Kumar informed about the application sent to Election Commission to obtain a registered party status. '50 of us have quit our jobs and working round the clock for the party. Few Civil Service Officers are extending support to us...they are working like a Think Tank for us,' he added.
BAP's first mission would be to contest 2020 Bihar Assembly Polls. Hopefully, These skilled professionals bring a change in the society and inspire many more youngsters to take the same path.
