Telugu short film Manasanamaha took the entertainment world by winning one of the wards at many film festivals. The short film received more than 500 awards across the globe which is a record. No wonder the short film made it to Guinness Records. In the past, no short film managed to do what Manasanamaha achieved. Deepak Reddy directed the sensational short film.
Despite doing wonders with his short film and setting up a Guinness record, Deepak Reddy could not attend any festival and give a speech there due to visa restrictions. It is the dream of many filmmakers to give a winning speech and Deepak Reddy is not an exemption.
Now the filmmaker has requested the Telangana government and the Ministry of External Affairs to help him in getting a Visa as he is unable to do it on his own. In a thread of tweets, the filmmakers requested help.
In some rare conditions, the Ministry of External Affairs can speak to the United States and arrange for a Visa. Now we have to wait and see what the state and Union governments will do. The waiting period for the US Visa has increased a lot and it is taking more than one and a half years for the application to get approved.
"Sir, Due to visa restrictions from last year, I couldn't attend a single film festival in 200+ fests including Oscar qualifying screening in the US. Please help me get a US visa slot to attend my last set of film festivals to represent our country @MEAIndia @TelanganaCMO," Deepak Reddy said on his Twitter.
