East Godavari Police have filed cases on all the top leaders who attended the 'Kapu Garjana' meeting on Sunday. Former Minister Mudragada Padmanabham is the prime accused in the case and Police filed 76 cases on Mudragada against the violence spurred in Tuni incident.
In another development, the police have confiscated two licensed guns of Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham. Police raided Mudragada house in the early hours of Wednesday and found two guns related to him. Rumours had that he may be taken into custody anytime soon by cops.
Meanwhile Mudragada issued an ultimatum to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister to give an assurance about the Kapu reservation by Thursday evening. Mudragada said he along with his wife would go on fast unto death from Friday if the announcement was not made by Thursday evening.
Padmanabham blamed the TDP for the violence. He said anti-social elements belonging to the ruling party caused anarchy in Tuni and trying to dilute the demand of Kapu's.
