An Earthquake With A Magnitude Of 2.1 Hits Gurugram

Gurgoan witnessed a mild earthquake today. The National Centre of Seismology said that the mild tremor hit the Delhi Gurgoan border which recorded a magnitude of 2.1 on the Richer Scale.

The earthquake occurred at 1 pm at the border with a depth of 18 km. In the past 10 days, six earthquakes occurred in the Gurugram Rohtak area.

In recent times, around 14 earthquakes took place at the Delhi NCR area too creating many fears and concerns. Some experts even sited that a major earthquake might take palace in the region.

Talking about the same, a seismologist who works at the National Centre of Seismology(NCS) said that in the past one year Delhi and Haryana have witnessed such low and mind earthquakes.
