Gyanvapi Row: Focus Shifts to Tuesday with Court Orders!

Update: 2022-05-23 11:57 GMT
The Gyanvapi Mosque issue in the temple city Varanasi caught everyone's attention after the videography survey in which a Shivalinga was found reportedly. After reaching the Supreme Court, the issue reached the lower court yet again. Earlier last week, the Supreme Court said it will not interfere in the issue and sent the case back to the lower court.

For the same reason, the local court heard the petition and the hearing lasted for just 45 minutes. Keeping everyone in suspense, the lower court had reserved its decision and it will give the date for the next hearing of the case on Tuesday, which is tomorrow.

It is known that the Places of Worship Act, 1991 act was brought by the then Congress party to deal with the religious places which are caught up in the controversies. The same was in the Ayodhya earlier. Fearing Ayodhya like things might happen in Gyanvapi as well, the Muslim side petitioners have some doubts.

The Muslim petitioners want to know if the petition filed by the Hindu side can be accepted under the same act or not. The petition filed by them brings a lot of complexities to the matter.

In the brief hearing, the Varanasi district court heard the arguments placed by the counsels representing the Hindu petitioners and the Muslim petitioners as well and reserved its orders. Now all eyes are on the court to know what the court will say in this matter.
