Heartburn For Yellow Media, Jagan Is Among Top 5 CMs

Update: 2020-06-03 05:11 GMT
In what could be seen as an affirmation of the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government, the C Voter –IANS survey has placed his government in the top five best administered state. The survey has also shown that despite the malicious campaign in a section of the pro-TDP media, Jagan continues to be immensely popular in the state.

Interestingly, the survey was conducted in the last week of May and hence is quite current and uptodate reflection of the mood of the people.  The survey has placed Odisha's CM Navin Patnaik at the top, while Chhattisgarh CM Bhupen Baghel and Kerala's Pinarayi Vijayan in the second and third places respectively.  What is interesting is that among the top five, YS Jagan is the only young CM. In fact, he still is less than 50 years of age. All others are seniors. Jagan has got the fourth place and has an approval rating of 78.01 per cent. This shows that despite the negative propaganda in a section of the media, the people continue to have a positive image of YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. His handling of the pandemic and his work in terms of providing welfare schemes seem to have carried the day for him.

But, there is some bad news for Telangana CM KCR. His approval ratings have gone down considerably and he, according to the survey, is counted among the least performing states. He stands 16th in the rankings given by the C Voter-IANS survey.
