Landslide In Vijayawada's Indrakeeladri Hill, Rescue Operations Underway
A tense situation erupted in Temple city Viajaywada after landslides broke on Indrakeeladari from the hilltop, ahead of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's visit.
As per the schedule, CM Jagan was supposed to Visit the Kanaka Durga temple and offer silk robes to the presiding deity as per the government protocol. Now the schedule is believed to be changed.
However, it is believed for a few days small hills were damaged due to the continuous rains. Now the fresh landslide has resulted in a tense situation.
The rescue operations are still underway. So far, three people were rescued and the count of victims is expected to increase. Thankfully, no casualties were reported so far.
The landslide resulted in the tents of devotees getting damaged. The vehicle movement on the hill has been stopped until further orders from the authorities.
