Hero to roll out bikes from AP plant in 18 months

After a lot of twists and turns at last Hero Motorcorp has agreed to establish their plant in Andhra Pradesh.Many other states Karnataka, Telangana tried their best to bring HERO to their states. At last, HERO selects Andhra Pradesh and agreed to sign on MOU with state government.

Hero MotoCorp announced on that its manufacturing plant near Sri City in Chittoor district will start rolling out motorcycles in 18 months time.Till now People have used the vehicles which were manufactured at different places and from now AP people got chance to use the bikes which were manufactured at their own soil.

Hero officials exuded confidence that the facility would start rolling out the first batch of bikes in 18 months. About 3000 people would get direct employment from the plant and another 7,000 people would be provided indirect employment.

Hero group will invest Rs 3,100 crore in the plant. Of this, Rs 1,600 crore will be for the main plant and R&D and the remaining Rs 1,500 crore for the ancillary units.The plant will roll out 1.8 million motorcycles and bicycles every year once it was started its operations fully
