HC Can Stall Early Polls In Telangana: SC

The Supreme Court on Thursday passed a crucial ruling on the petitions against Early Polls in Telangana. Apex Court directed the Hyderabad High Court to conduct hearing on these petitions Tomorrow itself.

Supreme Court instructed High Court to deliver its verdict before October 8th as Election Commission will unveil the final voter list by then. In addition, A clarification has been given that High Court have the powers to order for a stay on the Early Polls.

Opposition Parties believe High Court might issue a stay on Early Polls if it takes the flaws in the voter list into consideration. Around 20 lakh people will be denied the opportunity to vote if Early Polls happen.

Congress Leader Marri Sasidhar Reddy alleges 68 lakh bogus votes exist in Telangana. High Court will deliver its verdict on the writ petition moved by the 4-time MLA.
