Legal Action On Defected MLAs In Telangana: HC

It is known that Telangana Congress moved a petition in the High Court seeking action against the MLAs who defected to the Ruling TRS in the past few months. The petition has come up for hearing Today.

High Court stated 11 Congress MLAs who defected to TRS will have to face legal action. Next hearing of the case will be on June 11th.

T-PCC President Uttam Kumar Reddy and CLP Leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka filed petition in the High Court opposing the merger of CLP with TRS. High Court, however, expressed the opinion that it's not necessary to conduct the hearing of this petition immediately.

What kind of legal action Defector MLAs will have to face? Only stringent action will discourage elected public representatives from shifting loyalties to other parties upon winning elections.

Most of the Congress MLAs who emerged victorious from Undivided Khammam district have joined TRS. What will be the fate of these Legislators?
