Update: 2020-04-15 07:32 GMT
The Andhra Pradesh High Court has shocked the ruling government by squashing the Government Orders(GO) no 81 and 85 which talks about making English Medium compulsory in all the government schools.

The petitioner Lawyer maintained that students and parents will decide which medium to study and by making English Medium compulsory in the schools results in the backlogs for the students.

Earlier Advocate Indraneel moved the High Court against the GO issued by the state government on making English Medium compulsory in the state government-run schools.

When AP CM Jagan announced that English Medium will be made compulsory the opposition leaders found fault with his decision.
