Plane Hijacker Wants To Talk With PM

An Armed Man attempted to hijack a Dubai-bound Flight from Dhaka in Bangladesh with 148 passengers on board on Sunday. Due to the hijack attempt, The Biman Airlines Plane had to make an emergency landing at the Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram.

Soon after the landing, Army, Navy and Police Personnel cordened the plane. Passengers, Crew Members and Pilots were evacuated safely through emergency exit.

The Suspect identified as Mahadi is a Bangladeshi national. He placed the demand of talking with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. After he refused to surrender, The Hijacker was engaged in talks and Commandos prepared for opening fire. Hijacker succumbed to the bullet wounds and the operation was completed within 8 minutes.

Hijacker boarded the aircraft with a handgun and explosives. An investigation was launched to find out how was he able to do so inspite of the tight security at the airport.
