In what it could be a shocker, a housekeeping worker at the Lok Sabha secretariat tested positive for the dreaded COVID-19 virus. From the past few days, the infected worker did not attend the office as he was suffering from fever, cough, and respiratory problems.
After testing the person tested positive for the novel coronavirus reportedly. The worker who tested positive was admitted to the RML Hospital in the national capital Delhi.
Following this, the family of the housekeeping worker was kept under isolation and the blood samples of all the family members were sent for medical examinations and the results are awaited.
Earlier a positive case of novel coronavirus was reported from the Rashtrapati Bhavan and all the rooms at the official residence were sanitized accordingly.
The toll of the positive cases in India surpassed 18,000-mark, while the death count of COVID-19 stood at 600. The total cases of COVID-19 stood at 2,081 at the national capital Delhi alone.
