Update: 2017-08-21 04:13 GMT
Former Congress Minister Mukesh Goud's son Vikram Goud made headlines for allegedly planning murder attempt against himself by hiring shooters for gaining political mileage and keeping his opponents at bay. He was sent to judicial custody after being discharged from hospital and got released on bail two days ago.

Vikram Goud opened up for the first time on the firing episode at his residence on July 28th. 'Four People who entered My House had opened fire on Me. It took me four days to recover from that shock. Without recording My Statement, Cops have reached the conclusion that I planned this conspiracy. Nanda Kumar alias Nanda fired bullets at Me and he is the conspirator. I myself gave information about Nanda to the Police and arrests were made based on what I shared with them. Saying that I had offered Rs 50 lakh supari to the shooters to gain political mileage is a cooked-up story. There is no necessity for Me to do such things for elections which happen in 2 years,' he said.

The Congress Leader alleges Nanda tried to kill him because of the financial dispute they had over mining. He suspects the role of Cops who suffered when Congress was in power for 10 years behind the allegations against him.

Mr.Goud condemned the reports that he have debts to the tune of Rs 40 crore. 'If anybody can reveal the names of people to whom I owe money, I will settle the amount by selling the land we own through My Father,' he mocks.
