Telangana is all set to witness one more by-election in the Huzurabad Assembly constituency, which fell vacant after the former TRS Minister Etela Rajender resigned from his legislator post.
The by-poll is expected to be a two-face battle between Telangana Rashtra Samithi(TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP). While the ruling party wants to retain its seat, the BJP wants to win the seat to spread further into the state.
It has been widely reported that the by-election for the Huzurabad constituency in September. The parties have been informed by the Election Commission on the conduction of the by-poll reportedly.
Given the pandemic fear, the personnel, who will be a part of the election, would be administered the vaccine doses on a priority basis. The arrangements for the vaccination drive are said to be underway.
Besides the election personnel, the voters in the constituency and leaders, who will contest the elections would also be vaccinated against the virus, as a safety measure in the wake of the Covid ringing the danger bells.
Etela Rajender resigned from his MLA post and TRS party membership after he was removed from the Cabinet post after land grabbing allegations were leveled against him by a few farmers.
He resigned from the party and joined the BJP party earlier this month. He said he was not happy with the decision of the government to strip off his post before the inquiry report came.
