Hyd as Union Territory or Permanent Capital: Chiru

Union minister Chiranjeevi on Saturday said Hyderabad should be either Union Territory or the Permanent Common Capital of both the states. Responding to the resignation demand, He made it clear that power is required to address the problems of the people of Seemandhra region and promised to quit the Union Ministry post if he fails to safeguard the interest of the region.

Chiranjeevi stated he is fighting for the Union Territory or Permanent Common Capital status for Hyderabad in the best interest of the people living in both the regions. He said a Committee headed by Defence Minister AK Antony would be set up by Centre to look into the grievances of Seemandhra regions.
 
The union minister assured to protestors that experts would look after the crucial aspects like sharing of water, infrastructure, employment and Revenue between the two states. He appealed to the people of Seemandhra to maintain normalcy and patiently wait for the better results.

How far Chiranjeevi's comments would pacify the Samaikyandhra agitators is to be seen.
