Hyd Zoo officials name a new born Gaur calf after Indian revolutionary

The famous Nehru Zoological Park in Hyderabad had welcomed two new members on Saturday. One-horned rhinoceros calf and Gaur calf were born on the other day. The two animals fall under the endangered species category.

The Gaur calf was born on June 2. The ZOO officials have named the calf Komaram Bheem, a celebrated tribal leader, who fought for freedom. While the one-horned rhinoceros was named Nanda.

In a press release, the Telangana Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) said, the Zoo Park is bound to conserve wild animals and breed them. The new births of the animal are cheer-worthy

After the naming ceremony, the new calves were released near their mothers in the respective enclosures that were dedicated to them.
