Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu disagrees with the reports that development of Hyderabad has slowed down due to bifurcation. He expressed the opinion development will be at rapid pace in small states.
Venkaiah Naidu was the chief guest for Telangana Real Estate Developers Association's 3-day property show held in Hitex, Madhapur. He reminded Hyderabad has been performing better in the fields like IT, Pharma, Aero Space, Medical and Tourism. He went on to say none of the Metro Cities in the country could compete with Hyderabad in these fields.
The Union Minister reiterated plans to come up with 100 smart cities in the country and about Rs 7,060 crore have been allotted for the project. He revealed the list of 100 cities will be announced in November and the work begins from January next year. He promised to complete the Smart City project within 3 years.
