New York: The Buffalo city police received a complaint from the locals that a person is not responding to the calls and not opening the house door. When they barged into the house, they found an Indian-origin techie lying dead.
Going into detail, Indian-origin techie Sridhar Panuganti who works for Tech Mahindra (Americas) Inc has been living in Buffalo for some time. When he is not responding to the phone calls, his family members back in Hyderabad informed the same to known people in Buffalo.
The techie's wife and child who visited India in January this year were struck here due to the Covid-19 outbreak. They are in Hyderabad now. Due to the Covid-19 situation, the techie couldn't come here and take his family back to New York.
After breaking the door of Sridhar Panuganti's apartment in Slate Creek Drive, Buffalo, the city police has called for an ambulance. The medical staff declared he died in his sleep.
To get his body back to Hyderabad, the techie's family requested the Union ministry of external affairs and Consulate General of India in New York to help them with the procedures in their letter.
