Hyderabad To Distance Itself From Work From Home Module?

Update: 2021-07-06 07:03 GMT
Earlier in June, the Telangana government lifted all the lockdown restrictions in the state stating that the fresh Coronavirus infections have been coming down gradually and the Corona situation is under control. It's been nearly one month since the restrictions were lifted.

However, the economy hasn't seen much growth in the state despite no restrictions. To give a boost to the economy, the Telangana government is taking the required measures and steps.

As part of this, Telangana Chief Secretary(CS) Somesh Kumar held a key meeting with a few producers and exhibitors. It is said that the meeting was held to ask them to resume the operations.

Media reports claim that the Chief Secretary will also hold such meetings with the IT company representatives to urge them to re-open the offices so that the economy gets the required boost up.

Compared to the other industries, the IT industry has a big role in the state economy. Given the Covid impact, the companies have been using the work from home module since 2020 and the major share of IT companies are looking deserted now.

It is also said, the government wants the IT firms to resume the operations from the respective offices and the Chief Secretary assured the representatives that a helping hand would be offered by the government in vaccinating the employees and their kin so that the offices can be opened and

Earlier, the union government permitted the companies to carry out the vaccinations for the employees at the workplace. A few companies are carrying out the vaccinations at the workplaces and a few firms are expected to do the same.

The main question that arises is, whether the companies will resume the operations from the offices as the experts are warning that a possible third wave might hit the country. Now the ball is in the IT companies' court. Let us wait and see what happens.
