Jayalalithaa Niece Deepa Jayakumar on Monday alleges political opponents have been harassing her to ensure she doesn't contest RK Nagar by-election. 'Since the day I announced that I would contest RK Nagar by-poll, I am being harassed indirectly in various ways. I am staying at my house since few days. But, Few goons have been visiting my house regularly. I don't even know to which group or party they belong to! There is conspiracy to make me withdraw from the by-election,' she says.
On February 24th, Deepa Jayakumar announced the name of her political forum 'MGR Amma Deepa Peravai'. She pledged to contest from Jayalalithaa's constituency in the by-poll to emerge as the Political Heir of her Aunt.
Election Commission declared April 12th will be the polling date for RK Nagar by-election. Majority of the Voters of RK Nagar Constituency hasn't been accepting Sasikala's Leadership and they see Deepa Jayakumar as the true successor of Amma.
