As many as 95 Aspirants filed 108 nominations for upcoming Presidential Polls. Election Commission rejected nominations filed by 93 Candidates on grounds that nominations submitted by the lacked list of 50 proposers or 50 seconders. Failing to deposit nomination fee of Rs 15,000 is the other reason. In the end, Only NDA's Ram Nath Kovind & Opposition-backed Meira Kumar stood in the fray.

Devidayal Agarwal of Panipat introduced him as a God possessing Supreme Power who doesn't require 50 MLAs or MPs as Proposers. He mentioned that he is God 24 times in the nomination paper. 'I am God. Make me President. Does Ram Nath Kovind and Meira Kumar have magic wand? High magnitude earthquake happens in Delhi if my appeal is turned down. I'm the biggest scientist in the World. I should be the President,' he wrote in the nomination paper.

When his nomination was rejected, Mr.Agarwal expressed his anguish on an officer in Parliament saying, 'I am cursing now, anarth hoga'.
