71-year-old veteran politician and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu had broke down in the state legislative assembly earlier today after the YSRCP leaders had reportedly insulted his wife. Saying that he is being humiliated by the ruling party's behavior, he burst into tears while speaking to the media after the Assembly sessions.
While the opposition Telugu Desam Party(TDP) is alleging the government of alleged humiliating behavior, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reacted to the issue and clarified this. He said that no members spoke about the family members of Chandrababu Naidu.
Accusing Chandrababu Naidu of creating drama unnecessarily, the Chief Minister alleged that he had changed the comments made by his leaders in the house for political gains. I feel sad sometimes looking at Chandrababu Naidu, he said.
Adding further, Jagan said, he was not present in the Assembly when the issue happened as he was in a review meeting with the collectors on the flood situation. By the time I entered the Assembly, Chandrababu Naidu was speaking emotionally. He is in frustration. Back-to-back election defeats made him weak, he said.
Instead of giving suggestions to help deal with the flood situation using his experience, Chandrababu Naidu is making all this drama for his political gains. Such behavior is not expected from him, he added.
