An IAS Officer in Chhattisgarh invited trouble by placing his foot on a hospital bed when he has gone for an inspection. The picture which went viral sparked social media outrage.
Jagdish Sonkar, a 2013-batch IAS Officer, went to a government run Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre for a routine inspection. While he was interacting with the mothers of malnourished children, Sonkar had put his left foot on the bed. A person present there clicked the picture and shared it online.

After the backlash, Jagdish Sonkar faced suspension. Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh directed General Administration Department to train new officers in social behaviour and public interaction before sending for duty.
