ICC Says Rock, Paper, Scissors Can Be Played Instead Of Super Over

Update: 2020-02-12 07:10 GMT
Talking about the Super Overs the International Cricket Council(ICC) joked that the teams can play "rock, paper, scissors" to declare the winners for a tie match instead of playing super over.

It all started with Jimmy Neesham of New Zealand shared a picture of him with Indian Batsmen KL Rahul during the third ODI where India lost the match and lost the series 3-0.

New Zealand all-rounder has captioned the picture posted on his Twitter as "Paper, scissors, rock"

The post was re-tweeted by the official Twitter handle of the ICC and said “Perhaps we do this instead of super overs"

However, the ICC has made changes in the SuperOver rule in the international matches post 2019 World Cup super over between England and New Zealand where the England team emerged victoriously.

In this match, the English team won on the grounds of more number of fours and sixes scored in the 50 overs and the Super over.
